As fontes termais Cambioula são uma das muitas curiosidades geológica do Val D'Hérens. Ela é uma das fontes de água quente mais importantes da Suíça. Cerca de 81 nascentes emergem das rochas com temperaturas que podem chegar a 25 a 29°C. O gradiente geotérmico do nosso planeta faz com que a temperatura aumente em média de 30 graus por km de profundidade. As águas que se infiltram as falhas irão, portanto, aquecer e ficar carregadas de minerais. De todas as águas termais listadas nos Alpes suíços, segundo o centro de pesquisa geotérmica de Neuchâtel, as águas de Cambioula são, com as de Pro San Gian em St-Moritz, as mais ricas em sulfatos, cloretos, magnésio e sódio. O cheiro característico de ovo podre que se nota próximo as termas é o de sulfeto de hidrogênio. As fontes estão localizadas ao nível do rio Borgne, no município de Saint-Martin. A água sai do solo a uma temperatura de cerca de 28 graus mesmo junto ao rio e permite dar um mergulho graças às pequenas piscinas formadas por pedras e que podem atingir os 50 à 70 centímetros de profundidade.

After discovering Northern Portugal in a series of rainy days, sleeping in the car, brushing teeth in the rain, changing clothes in the rain, going to pee in the rain (you get the point😆), we felt we need a relaxing spa day. However, we couldn't find anything suitable and budget friendly, so we continued our trip. A few hours later we ended up parking our car next to Roman Hotsprings and had even better spa day we could have imagined in the middle of nature with 40 degree water 🥰🛁

It's located on a volcano crater 🌋 and according to Vanga the whole area is filled with cosmic energy 🪐 The temperature of the mineral water of Rupite is 76 degrees C. [Gorges de l'Hérault] [Cascade des parapluies ou cascade des éventails]

Toujours au départ de Saint Jean de Fos et du pont du diable, nous sommes partis à pied cette fois pour découvrir une partie des gorges de l'Hérault et la cascade dite des parapluies ou éventail 😉

l'Hérault est actuellement relativement mouvementé ce qui donne clairement envie de faire du canoë, mais n'en ayant pas et n'ayant absolument pas le niveau... Nous nous sommes contenté d'admirer le travaille de l'érosion sur la roche avec ses multiples marmite, l'eau d'une couleur magnifique et les jolie rapide.

Nous nous sommes arrêté à sur le haut de la cascade des parapluie, une surface de tuf sur laquelle la végétation se fait plaisir et qui surplombe l'Hérault. L'eau qui s'écoule ici, qui remplit les jolies vasques et bassins naturelle provient de la source Fontcaude, qui surgit dans la grotte (visible en photo 2 et 3, puis en vidéo à la fin 😉). L'eau y est continuellement à 21°, ce qui m'a permis d'en profiter pour clapoter (eh oui, en tant que Normande tant que la température est supérieur à 20°, je trouve ça bon 😆). Cette endroit est juste magique 😍

[Jour 11] [Noël en Ariège]

Alors voilà, ici pas de déballage de cadeau au petit matin du 25 décembre, car nous avions fait Noël en famille en avance 🤫

Par contre, mère nature nous à offert le plus beau des cadeaux ... En effet nous avons eu la chance de profiter de bains sauvages chaud (source sulfureuse), dans un décors enneigé et pour nous seul 😍 😍

Quelle expérience !!! Tout d'abord le petit coup de chaud lors de la magnifique randonnée d'approche (que nous avons pris à l'envers 😆 sinon à l'endroit cela ne prend que 15min 🤭) , puis le coup de froid lors du déshabillage, et le soulagement une fois plongé dans l'eau chaude à contempler la neige continuer de tomber ... La partie la plus désagréable étant... Le rhabillage, qui se fait rapidement, très rapidement pour ne pas geler sur place ❄️

Pour résumer, un magnifique Noël 🌲 Nous vous souhaitons à tous de bonnes fêtes 🎉

Nelle campagne di Bultei (SS) esistono delle terme libere di acqua calda in campo aperto. Si chiamano Anzu'e Sos Nervios, il bagno per i muscoli e i nervi. Ti fai il bagno in pieno inverno vicino alle rive del fiume Tirso, Fuori 4 gradi, nella vasca realizzata dai romani 35-40°.

Le chiamavano acque laesitane.

Nei terreni circostanti possiamo trovare la sorgente denominata “Su Anzu’e Sa Gutta” per la cura della gotta, “Su Anzu’e Sos Dentes” per la cura del mal di denti e gengive, “Su Anzu’e Sos Beccos” per la cura del cuoio capelluto, “Su Anzu’e S’ Istomogo” per curare problemi di stomaco e “Su Anzu’e Su Ludu” per l’uso di fanghi utili per alleviare dolori fisici.

Insomma abbiamo la cura per tutto  Da provare

I took a break from driving and got some relaxation at the #Thermopyles, the mythological Hot Gates, the Cavernous entrance of #Hades, the God of the Dead, and Lord of the Underworld. The place derives

Its name from the hot sulfur springs. In antiquity, this was the theater to one of the most epic battles between the Greeks, led by Leonidas and the Persians.

Back then the morphology of the area was quite different; narrower and closer to the coast. So the site had strategic importance, and it's not a case that more battles took place in it. The place despite the sulk vegetation feels a tad sinister: it's hard to dismiss the nearby Syrian/Kurds refugee camp. Poverty and desperation found some redemption in selling oranges, apples, and some weird sodas, to the travelers. I purchased the fruit from the kids and exchanged a few words with their parents, learning more about the horrors these poor people escaped from. Despite the sense of wellbeing upon bathing in the springs, I felt heartbroken by their stories; their tragic circumstances stripped them of their hopes. They are now on foreign soil with nowhere to go and very little to look forward to. I said goodbye to resume the journey while cowardly running away from their reality.

Tu le sais peut-être mais je (Typhon) suis une grande fan de sources d’eau chaudes naturelles gratuites en pleine nature et le moins modifiées possible. Celles là, sont, de loin, les plus belles que j’ai fait. On pouvait y nager dans cette eau translucide, salée et turquoise, se tenir debout tout en étant entièrement dans l’eau, ce qui est plutôt rare d’après mon expérience, les bassins sont souvent plus petits et peu profonds. Ce qu’on ne voit pas en image, c’est l’odeur d’œuf pourri qui peut en rebuter certains. 😅

L’eau d’un des bassin étant à exactement 36 degrés constamment, nous a permis de prendre Mini Bout de Chou avec nous. On s’est retrouvés comme les parents dont on a pu rire à une époque, à faire des grands « OUI!!!! BRAVO MINI BOUT DE CHOU!!!! C’EST BIEN ICI, HEIN??? » Tu vois le genre « parents gaga »? Haha, on assume totalement et on est très fiers de pouvoir faire découvrir un tas d’environnements différents à notre petit bout. Partager cette passion sources chaudes avec cette petite crevette nous met en joie et on a hâte de partir à la recherche de nouvelles sources chaudes, encore et encore.

[Ancien bassin d'eau chaude naturel]

Aujourd'hui on part à la recherche d'un bassin d'eau chaude en bord de l'étang de Thau.

Et bien, nous l'avons trouvé.

Cependant celui ci ne ressemble plus du tout à ce qu'il était. Le bassin d'avant pouvait accueillir une petite dizaine de personnes, avec de l'eau arrivant au dessus du genou. Donc les gens pouvait s'assoir ou s'allonger dedans. L'eau était à cette époque à 35°. (Cf dernière photo, désolé pour la qualité c'est une capture d'écran)

Maintenant, le bassin à été rempli de gros rocher (cf photo 2) pour empêcher la baignade 😠 sûrement volontairement pour ne pas faire d'ombre au station thermale non loin😠 Il ne reste donc qu'un petit espace pour 2 personnes, avec de l'eau à peine à mi mollet.

Concernant la température, elle a également baisser à 28° (cela reste agréable puisqu'il faisait 14° dans l'air)

Et vu la saison, le bassin fait actuellement également office de ... Bain de vase et bains d'algues comme en témoigne la vidéo 😆😅

Pour résumé une jolie déception, car ce petit bassin avec vue sur l'étang de Thau, et pourquoi pas un coucher de soleil, pourrait être un vrai paradis.

When you go to non-free thermal baths after a long trekking and it's so crowded. You don't want to pay for that so you start thinking about a beatiful place you went few years ago. You google it, find it and take your car for an hour. The path isn't familiar but you go anyway. When you get there you realize that it wasn't the same place. Instead of that, you discover and amazing place, free, no one around, hot water, birds sound, sunset coming and incredible views. Another somewhat futile attempt to encapsule Europe's natural soaking possibilities by chucking a meager compilation of photo's on-topic.

As you might be aware, all soaking facilities are currently closed or off-limits. That's a pity for us soakers, but the silver lining is that many of the lesser managed sites can take a well-earned breather. Let's hope that when this pass, the hordes will have received an education and treat the respective sites more civil.

We're starting in France, high up in the Pyrenees (above: Prats Balaguer), while there are more mountain soaks following: Mont-Doré (Puy du Dôme) followed by the alpine Plan de Phazy (Hautes Alpes).

Dag 276 t/m 278 - Zuidelijkste puntje 👇🏻De vorige keer sloten we af met ‘op naar de kust’, maar dat gaat nog niet heel snel. 😉 Vanuit Tafraout zijn we zuid-westelijk gereden, richting Guelmim. Daarmee zijn we op het zuidelijkste puntje van onze reis beland! Nog verder naar beneden is eigenlijk alleen de Westelijke Sahara te vinden en op (voor ons) nog zes uur rijden vinden we dat wat ver. 🐌Zondag en maandag stonden we op campings, zodat we de enorme achterstand met de was konden wegwerken. 🌀 Bij Guelmim konden we na weken weer eens een echte supermarkt bezoeken, eindelijk! Groente en fruit halen we inmiddels liever lokaal, maar sommige dingen vind je niet in de dorpjes. Zoals de ingrediënten voor een taart. 🥧🤤 Met een grote kar vol konden we weer door. 🛒Dinsdag reden we een klein stukje van de camping naar Fask, om daar het asfalt te verlaten met nog 7 kilometer tot de bestemming. Stiekem toch wel spannend, over de meestal harde zandgrond proberen het beste pad te vinden. 😅 Gelukkig trok Freddy het zonden problemen en kwamen we aan bij de bestemming: een warm-water bron midden in de woestijn. ♨️En wat een bijzondere plek! Er is een grote buis in de grond geslagen om het water naar boven te laten en met zand en doeken zijn er een soort baden van gemaakt. De lucht was 28 graden en het water 38, dus zwembroek aan en chillen! ☺️ We waren zeker niet de enigen; naast nog meer camperaars komen ook de locals hier even badderen. Totdat iedereen even ruimte moest maken voor héél veel dorstige kamelen. Chaos! 🐪💦🐪🐪 De kids vonden het prachtig en hebben lekker gespeeld.Na een tijdje begonnen we toch wel te verbranden en hebben we de schaduw van Freddy opgezocht. Duplo er bij, lekker eten en nog even naar de ontelbare sterren kijken. Morgen weer op pad, dit keer écht naar de kust.

Soaking our cares away in the thermal river baths of Thermopile.⁣We spent three weeks here with these swirling thermal waters on our doorstep, rising early each morning and slowly awakening our bodies with a hot bath just as the Romans and the Turks would’ve done in ancient times.⁣Three weeks is a long time to be stationary for us, but we needed time to stop, a space in which to create, and by the end of our time there we knew every rock and nook of that river.⁣We bathed early in the morning before the sunlight burst through the mountaintops, we bathed in the evenings when the dusk would tint the rising steam purple, and we’d bathe late at night under the light of the stars, sipping limoncello and warming our bones against the freezing night air.⁣Our only company was the herd of goats which passed through daily, accompanied by their shepherd who would knock on our van demanding we give him either euros or potatoes. On the first day we gave him some potatoes, but after that we just hid in our van until he stopped shouting “𝘌𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘩! 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘴!” and went away.⁣On our last day in Greece we discovered another hot spring tucked further into the mountains, and it would’ve been a romantic end to our time here had my purse not been stolen from the van in broad daylight.⁣We left the country with mixed emotions, weaving our way back North around the snow-dusted base of Mount Olympus. Greece had been a much-needed rest for us but it was missing that distinct essence of Balkanness here, and there was a place that was tugging at our heart strings and calling us with a force that was hard to resist.In the midst of winter, we were heading back to North Macedonia.

❄️Esta foto es de unas termas naturales, gratuitas, abiertas a cualquiera, a 37°C, con temperatura exterior de 0°C. La gente ingresaba desnuda, totalmente libre.Al llegar a Madrid anoté mis miedos, tenía muchos (ya les contaré). Uno de los que más me angustiaba era pasar las fiestas en soledad. Todas las fiestas anteriores habían sido un momento complicado, las pasaba con angustia, pensaba en todo lo que me faltaba para ser feliz. Rogaba por dentro estar en pareja y que me invitaran a estar en su compañía..Esta vez decidí no planificar nada y dejar que la vida me sorprenda. Y así fue, la primera vez que me dejo fluir y pasan cosas totalmente inesperadas, mejor que lo que podría haber imaginado..En navidad estuve sola en casa, fue un desafío, y me sentí con mucha paz y tranquilidad. Cociné, medité, leí, hice lo que tuve ganas..En año nuevo me invitan inesperadamente a ir a la montaña y termas naturales en furgoneta. Ya les contaré en los siguientes post la experiencia. Se me abrió un mundo nuevo..Antes no hubiese ido a ningún lugar sin comodidades, hotel, etc. De pronto me encontré en un viaje completamente simple, sin más gastos que la gasolina. Durmiendo y viviendo en una furgoneta que no estaba ni preparada. Sin ducharme en días, cocinando al aire libre, viviendo en conexión total con la naturaleza..💙➡️Reflexión: LOS MIEDOS NOS LLEVAN A CONTROLAR LAS SITUACIONES, Y HACIA LUGARES QUE CREEMOS SON LO MEJOR PARA NOSOTROS. Ce genre de grand smile à la Chloé qu’on ne saurait que trop bien connaître, hot springs oblige. « Mais Chloé ta vie est trop cool ». Moi dans ma tête « ah oui, c’est pas forcément le mot que j’aurais choisi ».Voyager seule, et en van, c’est (attends je choisis le mot) : enrichissant. C’est face à moi même que je suis. Tous les jours. Alors c’est souvent marrant, plein de découverte mais c’est aussi parfois douloureux et effrayant. Le bon côté d’être seule c’est de pouvoir prendre le temps, le temps de voyager et de faire sa route mais aussi de prendre « mon » temps : mon rythme. Ralentir mon corps quand mes pensées s’emballent. Accepter d’aller plus lentement. Ah et merci @alexandrejollien d’être si inspirant.
